As the “Öö. Volksblatt” (Saturday edition) reports, the plant in Dietach near Steyr (Upper Austria) is also affected by savings measures in addition to the location in Wieselburg (Lower Austria). Accordingly, production is to be discontinued this year. 30 employees work in Dietach.

“The lease in Dietach expires at the end of 2023,” confirmed Andreas Nix, ZKW site manager in Wieselburg, to the newspaper. The spare parts production there is to be integrated into free areas in Wieselburg. According to the manager, it will become clear in the course of the year whether the 30 employees will be taken on. Yesterday, Thursday, ZKW announced that it would downsize its plant in Wieselburg and intend to lay off 600 of the current 2,600 employees by the end of 2024.
