Places of purchase and average ticket
According to the agency’s report, sales in the show registered a 95.2% increase and totaled $349.116 million, while the online registered an interannual variation of 107.5% and accumulated $10,117 million.
The average ticket was $4,573, up 79.3%. And credit cards were the means of payment that grew the most in the year, with an increase of 108.4%, up to $131,297 million; followed by debit, which registered a year-on-year variation of 107.9% and accumulated $115,221 million in 2022.
In December, total sales at current prices for the month, collected in the Supermarket Survey, totaled $359,733.1 million, which represents a 95.5% increase compared to the same month of the previous year.
In total sales at current prices, during December 2022, the groups of items with the most significant increases compared to the same month of the previous year were: “Greengrocers and greengrocers”, 143.4%; “Prepared foods and rotisserie”, with 113.9%; “Drinks”, with 111.9%; and “Bakery”, with 110.4%.
