According to a quick estimate by Statistics Austria, prices rose by 11.0 percent last month. In January, inflation had reached 11.2 percent.
“The persistently high rate of inflation is due, among other things, to price increases for food, household energy and hospitality,” said Statistics Austria Director General Tobias Thomas on Thursday.
