Housing market: How tenants can still find an affordable apartment

Average rents in Germany have risen by more than ten percent since 2015. In cities with over 100,000 inhabitants, tenants pay an additional 30 percent more on average than in small towns and rural communities. As a result, many families live in overcrowded homes.
