agricultural emergency declared due to drought in 33 parties of the province

The affected rural farms will have the postponement or exemption of the payment of national taxes.

The Ministry of Economy declared a state of emergency or agricultural disaster in 33 parties in the province of Buenos Aires affected by the drought, in different periods between June 1 and December 31, 2022.

The measure was ordered through resolution 208/2023, published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette, and within the periods indicated, the affected rural farms will have the postponement or exemption of the payment of national taxes.

The declaration covers the period from June 1 to October 31, 2022 for the farms affected by the drought in the Pergamino district and from July 1 to November 3 of the same year for those in General Rodríguez. Likewise, it declares an agricultural emergency or disaster between July 1 and October 31 in the Carlos Tejedor and General Lamadrid districts and in Circumscriptions II, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI and XII of the Laprida.

Between July 1 and December 31, 2022, agricultural farms affected by drought were included in the districts of Luján, General Paz, Ayacucho, General Villegas, Maipú, Lincoln, Baradero, General Arenales, Roque Pérez, San Nicolás, San Andrés de Giles, Mercedes, Rauch, Exaltation of the Cross, Carmen de Areco, Captain Sarmiento, General Guido and Tordillo.

Finally, the emergency and/or agricultural disaster is declared in the districts of Bragado, Monte, Punta Indio, Chivilcoy, Brandsen, General Viamonte, Chacabuco, Navarro, Colón and in Circumscriptions II, III, IV, X, XI and XII of the Tandil party, from October 1 to December 31, 2022.

The declaration of the state of emergency corresponds when at least 50% of the production or productive capacity of the exploitation is affected and in that case the owner will benefit from the postponement of the payment of national taxes.

If this damage exceeds 80% of the production or productive capacity, an agricultural disaster is declared and the producer will be exempt from paying the corresponding taxes. For this, both the official banks and the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) will arbitrate the necessary means so that the producers enjoy the expected benefits.
