Wrigley’s chewing gum sticks have long been considered the epitome of the American way of life. Now the confectionery manufacturer Mars has announced their end. The company has decided to remove the entire range of chewing gum strips and mini strips from its range in Germany, which also affects Austria. The reason for the step is the declining demand. Not only the classic Wrigley’s Spearmint is affected, but also the Extra and Orbit chewing gum brands. The first Wrigley chewing gum appeared in the United States in 1893.
