La Bancaria closed a 32.5% salary agreement until May

The bankthe union headed by national deputy Sergio Palazzo, announced this Friday that it closed the first stage of the joint negotiation until May, when the review clause is activated. Bank workers will receive a 32.5% increase plus compensation for income tax.

The union reported in a statement that it was agreed with the business chambers ABAPPRA, ADEBA, ABA and the BCRA a recognition of the 2022 parity of 0.7% and for the year 2023 an increase of 32.5% as of May, broken down by as follows: in 4 tranches: 6% for January 2023; 7.1% for February 2023; 11% for March 2023 and 8.4% in May 2023.

In this way, from May the starting salary of a bank worker will be $312,897 per month.

In addition, an extraordinary payment was agreed, for all workers, in compensation for Earnings, payable 50% in May and the remaining 50% in September 2023.

In the case of banks that return the income tax to their workers, they will not pay said bonus, except in the cases of those workers who, due to their level of income, do not have a refund of said tax.

“In this way, the salary impact of the income tax on the worker who pays this tax is considerably reduced, based on the basis that our Union has always maintained that salary is no earningachieving with this agreement significant relief for bankers who pay this unfair tax,” the union said in a statement.
