They presented the new credits for SMEs led by women

The work meeting was held at the Central House of Banco Provincia and It had the participation of more than 20 businesswomen, representatives of entities such as the Economic Federation of Buenos Aires (FEBA) and the Chamber of Medium Enterprises (CAME) and authorities of Buenos Aires SMEs from various fields.

“We have a perspective of promoting development in our Province that produces wealth for the country as a whole; Valuing this contribution improves the quality of life of the people of Buenos Aires,” he said. “80% of the credit is taken by men, we could say exactly the other way around that 80% of the care licenses are taken by women, this division of roles, despite the enormous changes in the leadership that women are having, shows that there are still very present inequality gaps” added the Minister.

For his part, the president of Banco Provincia, Juan Cuattromo, explained: “80% of the Bank’s loans are taken by men but 55% of our client portfolio are women, who also carry out 71% of all transactions.”

In turn, the director Laura Gonzalez stated: “Women must have a preponderant role in productive activity and from the Bank we believe that through different public policies we can help promote that.”

* About the credits

The Women in the Province line offers credits for working capital for a maximum amount of $2 million, with a fixed annual rate of 56% and a maximum term of 12 months, with a 6-month grace period in the areas of hotels, restaurants, leisure, culture and sport.

Investment loans have a maximum amount of $5 million, with a fixed annual rate of 60% and a maximum term of 36 months, with a 12-month grace period for principal payment.

The beneficiary companies must be MSMEs with a valid certificate located in the province of Buenos Aires and be led by women who must have more than 50% of the shareholding package or with at least 25% and have at least one woman in a decision-making position with a minimum age of 3 months.
