A total of only 2,440 buildings were sold – fewer than in the past 22 years. The manufacturer’s sales fell by 14 percent year-on-year to 712.7 million euros – with an average sales price that was 16 percent higher.

With a turnover of over 700 million euros in 2022, at least significantly more was generated than in 2019 (641 million euros) and 2020 (663.9 million euros). According to “Branchenradar”, the massive increase in prices in 2022 was mainly due to substantial price increases for upstream services.

The purchase prices for timber have increased by between ten and forty percent, for insulating materials and plasterboard by around twenty percent and for windows and doors by around ten percent. The costs for sanitary installations grew by around fifteen percent compared to 2021, for roofing by around seventeen percent and the transport costs rose by almost twenty percent compared to the previous year, study author Andreas Kreutzer calculated today.
