The Lufthansa Group wants to hire another 8,000 people this year. The group announced on Monday that the company was primarily looking for specialists such as technicians, IT specialists, pilots and lawyers at various locations. 6,000 new people have already been hired this year. In the majority, it is about additional positions, said a spokesman. It was not clear how many previous Lufthansa employees would leave the company in return.
In the course of the Corona crisis, the company cut almost 40,000 jobs worldwide and recently created new jobs to cope with the increasing air traffic. According to the annual report, around 112,400 people were employed at one of the Lufthansa companies at the end of March.
