With the TNA established by the Central Bank of 97%, the Ahora 12 rate stood at 82.45%. As of resolution 904/2023 signed by the Secretary of Commerce, Matthias Tombolini, now it will be 72.75%. This rule modifies the coefficient with which the rate of Ahora 12 is calculated to the TNA of fixed terms of the BCRA, which went from 0.85% to 0.75%.
“It aims to promote the consumption of products of national origin, benefiting consumers, merchants and companies,” sources from the Commerce Secretariat indicated.
In the first quarter of the year, Now 12 registered 17.8 million operations, with household appliances, clothing and construction materials being the most billed items. Those 17.8 million operations represented more than 575 billion pesos.
