This Thursday, Economy Minister Sergio Massamade a series of announcements aimed at monotributistas in the framework of the inauguration of Expo Escobar. The main news that he communicated was the confirmation of the 41.5% adjustment that will be applied to the billing scale that governs the operation of this tax regime. from the first of July, while the value of the monthly fee will remain unchanged. This is done with a view to the semi-annual recategorization, which will be shortly. And on the other hand soft loans were launched for the sector.

“Everything that aims to improve people’s income is on the agenda,” they say from the Ministry. And, in this way, starting next month, they will enter the Category A who bill up to $1,414,762 annually (currently the cap is $999,657), in the category B come in up to $2.103025 (until now it was $1,485,976), for the C, the new ceiling is $2,944,235, the top of the category D goes from $2,583,720 per year to $3,656,604in the E, it runs up to $4,305,799in the F billings come in for up to $5,382,248 and in G, up to $6,458,698, while in H and I the new ceilings will be $7,996,484 and $8,949,911, respectively, and for J, $10,257,028. Finally, for the Category K set a maximum limit of $11,379,612 annually (from $8,040,721).

This setting responds to the need to raise maximum ceilings in the context of rising inflation, since they had not been touched since the beginning of the year and that meant that the billing ceilings provided until now were very low for the members of the different categories.

A context that requires updating

Consequently, many monotributistas entered a higher category than the one that corresponded to them really and they had to pay a higher fee or some were even excluded from the Monotributo when exceeding the ceilings.

This is a key moment to take this step since, in a few weeks, the moment arrives in which monotributistas have to recategorize themselves, as it happens every year, according to their billing amounts. That is why Economy decided to move in this direction this Thursday.

Likewise, the value of the quotas will remain unchanged to help monotributistas and prevent them from running the risk of entering into debt with the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP). It is an indirect way of improving the income of monotributistas, which today number 4.8 million throughout the country.

Line of credit for the sector

In addition, Massa launched a two-year loan plan with differentiated rates of 43% for monotributistas, which will be financed by the Argentine Guarantee Fund (FOGAR) and aims at financing micro-enterprises. The measure seeks to benefit about 1.2 million people.

This financing offer was devised with the Production Secretariat, headed by José Ignacio de Mendigurenand it is in line with two very important objectives that Massa has in mind at the moment: keep consumption strong and prop up investment in production to try to sustain economic activity.

“Today we are going to add one more chapter to the Argentine Credit Program,” said Massa. And he thus announced the launch of this new line of credit subsidized by the national State without a bank requirement for working capital.
