After the devaluation of the currency last Monday, unions and businessmen began to march through the Ministry of Labor for the reopening of parity. Although many were scheduled for this month, the rush became greater with the advance of the price rise. The novelty, this time, is that two unions achieved increases until December based on the inflation projected by the private consultants.


One of the unions that agreed today is Food. It is worth remembering that it is one of the sectors with the best increases in the first 7 months of the year (9.3% yoy), as established by the consulting firm CESO in a recent report.

In this way, an increase of 34% was agreed for three months to be distributed as follows:

  • 11% August
  • September 11th
  • 12% October

The increase is based on April 2023 and will be incorporated into the salary in November.

Tire workers (SUTNA)

For this sector that was in negotiations prior to the devaluation, the following increases were achieved:

  • July: 25%
  • September: 15%
  • October: 10%
  • November: 15%
  • December, January and February, the increases will be the CPI

In addition, + 4% payable in March is added as a parity base 2024/25 and a year-end bonus of $100,000.

Waiting for the lump sum
