This allows it to supply all production plants in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Mendoza and Jujuy with a solar energy source. It is Holcim’s first long-term solar power contract in Argentina.

With the flow of energy provided by 360Energy, Holcim in Argentina will add energy of renewable origin -on this occasion obtained from the use of electromagnetic radiation from the sun- reaching 245,000 MWh per year, thus covering 75% of energy consumption with renewable sources.
Through this agreement, 360Energy will supply an annual volume of 30,000 MWh. The power supply will come from the 360Energy Photovoltaic Solar Parks dedicated to the Renewable Energy Term Market (MATER), which will have an installed capacity of more than 200 MW.
With 75% of energy consumption coming from renewable sources, Holcim in Argentina highlighted the following:
It will produce approximately 2,700,000 tons of cement. 225,000 homes can be built (the construction of a typical family home -100 m2- consumes approximately 12 t of cement) and 3,800 km of two-lane road. of more than 68,550 t of CO2, equivalent to the energy consumption of approximately 8,000 houses in one year.
