Investors in German stocks went back on the defensive on Wednesday after two days of significant gains. Data from individual federal states indicate an increase in inflation in Germany. The MDax for medium-sized titles fell by 0.75 percent to 27,456.50 points in the middle of the week. The leading eurozone index, the EuroStoxx, also slipped 0.7 percent into the red. A somewhat weaker start is also becoming apparent for the US stock exchanges, which had strengthened the day before.
