In that context, the central bank (BCRA) notified the company through the Official Gazette Free Change SAS., a former exchange agency. The notification informs that the Superintendent of Financial and Exchange Entities (SEFyC) decided to impose a fine of $36,000,000 (thirty-six million pesos).


The fine is imposed for aviolation of exchange regulations. The text does not specify what the violation is, but it is possible that it is an illegal exchange operation or a violation of current exchange restrictions.
The notification states that Free Change has a term of 5 banking days to pay the fine or request shelter to the facility regime for payment thereof. If notthe fine will be collected through tax enforcement.
The text also informs that Free Change can file an appeal against the SEFyC resolution. The appeal must be submitted to the General Entry Desk of the BCRA, from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In case of filing appealso, Free Change must comply with the requirements established in Agreement 13/05 of the National Chamber of Appeals in Federal Administrative Litigation.
