The Secretary of Energy ordered an increase of 12.5% ​​in the values ​​of the carafes of 10, 12 and 15 kilograms for fractionators, distributors and final consumers, in response to the variation in prices associated with the production of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and “maintaining the protection of vulnerable users through the Home Program.

The measure was established by lto resolution 762/2023 published today in the Official bulletin, and updates the values ​​set in resolution 391 of May 19 for that month, June, July and August.

The new values ​​are retroactive to August 25 and set a cap of $50,938 per ton for both butane and propane.

  • $1,672 for distributors

In the recitals of the standard it was indicated that “the maximum reference prices They play a primary role in being able to effectively comply with the objectives outlined in Law No. 26,020, among which the main emphasis is to ensure the economical supply of LPG to low-income residential social sectors that do not have electricity service. natural gas through networks”.

“Taking into account the variation experienced in the values ​​associated with LPG production, as well as the costs observed in the fractionation, distribution and retail segments, it is necessary to update the maximum reference prices associated with the production and commercialization of LPG”, it was added.

These updates were resolved “providing that the price at final consumer results from the real economic costs of the activity in the different stages, so that the provision of the service is carried out properly. quality and safety conditions, always maintaining the protection of vulnerable users through the Home Program”.
