The presidential candidate of Unión por la Patria (UP) and Minister of Economy, Sergio Massacelebrated that 17.5 million people They have already accessed the refund of Value Added Tax (VAT) of the twenty-one% in the basic basket during the last month.

Through his official account on the social network general elections: “More than 17.5 million people have already accessed the VAT refund in the Basic Basket during October”.

“Measures like this They take care of the pockets of workers, retirees, self-employed workers and monotributistas with 67.8 billion pesos that return directly to domestic consumption,” he added.

The “buy without VAT” measure, announced a month ago by the national government, focuses on the acquisition of products from the basic basket destinated to retirees, workers and monotributistas and provides for the return of up to $18,000 of VAT on these consumptions.

The benefit applies to purchases paid with debit cards, account debit or immediate transfers through QR codes, associated with accounts opened in financial institutions.
