From then on, “stabilization can be expected again,” said Christof Hermann, ÖBB regional manager for the eastern region (Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland) on Monday in the Ö1 morning journal of ORF.Wien. The ÖBB confirmed that there are currently too few train sets and that there are currently gaps in maintenance, but countermeasures have already been taken. Resources have been invested in and the measures are already having an effect. “We will see a slight improvement in the next few weeks and I therefore assume that we will be able to implement further measures at the beginning of March. We will bring four additional vehicles to the region, which we will then put in reserve and use,” said Hermann.
