The German investment company Hannover Finanz is investing in the Holzhausen-based space company Peak Technology: As was announced today, Tuesday, the Germans are providing growth financing of ten million euros and are investing in a “mid-double-digit percentage share”. How high this is exactly is not stated. However, founder and managing director Dieter Grebner remains the majority owner: “The area of ​​space technology has grown significantly in recent years,” says Grebner. They have now found a strong partner who is willing to support the expansion course.

Hannover Finanz specializes in medium-sized companies, has an office in Vienna and was involved with Rossmann, Aixtron and Fielmann, among others. More than two billion euros have been invested since it was founded in 1979. 34 companies currently belong to the portfolio.

According to the release, the capital will be used to industrialize the production of space components and drive growth. Grebner, who studied aircraft technology in Munich, has Peak Technology founded in 2007. The company operates in two areas: On the one hand, wWe develop and produce high-pressure and fuel tanks for rockets and satellites as well as load-bearing components for satellites and space telescopes. On the other hand, it is active in the motorsport sector and supplies Formula 1 and other racing series such as Formula E with components such as electric drives and battery storage. Sales in the past financial year (as of June 30) were 22 million euros, 70 percent of which were achieved with space components. 140 employees are employed.
