After weeks of negotiations, the railway unions They agreed on a new equal increase for the month of March. The La Fraternidad union led by Omar Maturano closed for workers an increase of 20.96% over the February 2024 grids, eight points above what the Government initially offered.

Railway joint unions: what will happen in March with the other unions
After the agreement reached by La Fraternidad, the other unions that weeks ago had accepted a 12% recomposition The numbers should have improved.

But after the increase agreed upon by Maturano, the leaders of the “dialogue” unions they nullified the understanding reached by 12% and replaced it with a similar number which La Fraternidad achieved.
Railway workers: how much will other unions charge
In this way, workers grouped in the UF, APDFA and ASFA will be paid in March 12% on February salary schedules (including seniority, travel expenses and other bonuses) and an additional increase of 8% “on the new salary grids resulting from the percentage detailed in the previous point.”
In the agreement, which is signed by Sergio Sasia (PHEW), Adrian Silva (APDFA) and Enrique Maigua (ASFA), the updated payment of the attendance bonus was extended and a meeting was agreed during the first half of April to move forward with a new recomposition.
