Labor market: Number of unemployed in Germany fell in March

The economy remains weak – and so the decline in unemployment in Germany in March is only a gentle spring upturn.

707,000 vacancies were reported to the Federal Agency in March, 70,000 fewer than a year ago. When it comes to short-time work, companies reported short-time work for 48,000 people for the period from March 1st to 24th, which is 10,000 fewer than in the same period of the previous month.
