According to economists, the ECB is unlikely to change its key interest rate this Thursday. It would be the fifth time in a row that the central bank has not changed interest rates. However, Central Bank President Christine Lagarde is likely to signal a rate cut for June.

In contrast to the weakening economy in the Eurozone, the economy in the USA is running smoothly with a labor market that remains strong and is making it difficult for the US Federal Reserve Bank to cut interest rates soon in the face of stubborn inflation.
