Management consulting: BCG plans to hire more than 1,000 new employees

One industry benefits from the mood of crisis: management consultancies. The Boston Consulting Group reports above-average growth in Germany and neighboring countries.

The management consultancy Boston Consulting Group (BCG) is planning to hire over a thousand new employees in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Eastern Europe this year due to booming business. The German BCG company announced this on Monday in Munich. Last year, the company increased its global sales by five percent to $12.3 billion.

The German-speaking countries and their eastern neighbors belong to BCG’s Central Europe business area, which therefore even saw double-digit growth. However, BCG did not provide exact sales figures for the countries in question, nor did the consultancy make its profits public.

BCG has been expanding in Europe for several years, and during the Corona pandemic, the uncertainty in the boardrooms of many companies resulted in an increased need for advice. In 2023, 900 new employees were hired. According to the announcement, BCG 2023’s services were particularly in demand when it came to energy, among other things. BCG employs around 32,000 people in over 50 countries worldwide.
