Shortly after the stock market opened, the leading German index rose by 0.29 percent to 17,821.15 points. The MDax rose by 0.25 percent to 25,992.79 points and the Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 gained 0.50 percent to 4938.68 points. In the United States, Wall Street, which is predominantly stocked with standard stocks, closed little changed in the middle of the week, while the technology-heavy Nasdaq fell significantly.
