The oil producers’ union opposes the labor reform and the Income Tax present in the new Bases law.
Like the guild ATEwhich called for a measure of force in SENASA after the opinion of the Law Bases that seeks a reform of the state administration, the Union of Oil Workers and Employees (SOEA) of San Lorenzo, one of the largest agro-export ports in Argentina, announced this Saturday a unemployment for an indefinite period in response to the proposed reforms.

The main objective of the strike, which will begin next Monday, is to express the rejection of the return of the Income tax and the 17 articles that comprise the Government’s labor reform. The union had already been in conflict with the ruling party due to the lack of approval of its partners.


“The strike announced for an indefinite period affects 80% of the oil companies and will begin after the opening of the session that will discuss Profits and the Labor Reform in Deputies“said the SOEA in a statement.
Senasa announced a 72-hour strike: exports are paralyzed starting Monday
The Association of State Workers (ATE) announced a 72 hour strike in it National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (Senasa) which will take place from Monday, June 29 from 00 hours and will extend to Wednesday, May 1st.
The measure of force will be carried out in rejection of the Bases billsince according to the union, “it promotes a savage reform of the State, and the total scrapping of the National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service“. The strike will paralyze agroindustrial exports and will impact the entry of dollars into Argentina.
“Given the opinion of the commission of the Bases Law project, which promotes a savage reform of the Stateand the total scrapping of Senasa, as it is not included in the Organizations specifically excepted in said opinion,” they expressed in the official statement published on Friday.
