Patents fell 5.9% in April

The Association of Automotive Dealers of the Argentine Republic (ACARA) reported that the number of patented vehicles during April It amounted to 32,710 units, which represents a decrease of 5.9% year-on-year, since in April 2023 34,766 units had been registered.

If the comparison is made with March of this year, an increase of 26.7% is observed since 25,815 units had been registered last month.

In this way, in the accumulated four months of the year, 117,492 units were patented, this is 24.4% less than in the same period of 2023, in which 155,508 vehicles had been registered.

There are key factors, such as financing, a sincerity of the economy, increase wages, lower inflation and stimulus measures by the State, such as the elimination of CETA for used cars and tariffs for 0Km, which indicate that we are going to a growth market and the April numbers are already beginning to demonstrate it. We cannot get out of this situation suddenly, it will be gradual and the sector has already begun to undergo that recovery,” Beato concluded.
