Collective bargaining conflict: Warning strikes at Telekom before collective bargaining round

The next round of negotiations in the ongoing collective bargaining dispute is imminent at Telekom. Verdi is calling for warning strikes in customer service nationwide.

In the collective bargaining dispute at Deutsche Telekom, the Verdi union has called for warning strikes in customer service nationwide. These are to continue on Monday, parallel to the fourth round of negotiations scheduled for Monday and Tuesday in Potsdam, as Verdi announced. A central rally is planned there, at which 4,500 employees are expected.

Verdi is demanding an income increase of 12 percent for around 70,000 collective bargaining employees, but at least by 400 euros per month, with a term of the collective agreement of twelve months. Telekom recently offered to increase salaries by 4.2 percent from 2025. This year there will be a tax-free inflation compensation bonus of 2,000 euros. Verdi rejected the offer as inadequate.
