Economy issues new public debt instruments: the details

The announcement comes after the tender of four new Lecaps (with maturities from June to August), three zero-coupon Boncers and a zero-coupon dollar linked bond with which the Government raised $11.7 billion from the market.

Through Joint resolution of the Ministry of Economythe Ministry of Finance and the Treasury authorized the issuance of various financial instruments, specifically National Treasury Bills and National Treasury Bonds. These instruments are denominated in pesos.

Likewise, the official text recalls that the resolution is based on several laws and decrees related to financial administration and the general budget of the public sector.

The announcement comes after this Thursday’s tender of four new Lecaps (with maturities from June to August), three zero-coupon Boncers and a zero-coupon dollar linked bond with which the Government raised $11.7 billion from the market.

National Treasury Bills

National Treasury bill capitalizable in pesos with maturity June 14, 2024:

  • Amount: up to $3,500,000,000,000
  • Issue date: May 20, 2024
  • Expiration: June 14, 2024
  • Rate: to be determined in the tender (not less than 4.20%)
  • Amortization: full at maturity
  • Interest: monthly capitalized
