Since then, and with the strong crisis that the baking sector is going through due to the drop in sales, bakers in the Province of Buenos Aires announced that there will be a new increase in the price per kilo.

Numerous bakery centers in the province of Buenos Aires reported that, starting Monday, May 27, they will increase the price per kilo of bread and the baked products they sell, as a consequence of the important increases in costs suffered by the baking industry.


“Today, we met representatives of numerous bakery centers in Greater Buenos Aires, with the CIPAN economic team, to analyze the new costs of our products, due to the constant increases that we have been suffering in terms of rates. of public services, raw materials, rents, joint payments and all increases that are public knowledge,” explained Martín Pinto, president of the Merlo Industrial Bakers Center.
Increase the bread: how much will the kilo cost?
“We are forced to publish a new price list at the provincial level, starting Monday the 27th, which establishes that the suggested price per kilo of bread It will be 2,200 pesos, and 2,400 in central areas ”Pinto detailed.
“Unfortunately, we have to take this drastic resolution to stop the closures of bakeries for a bit, to try to prevent colleagues from collapsing and so that we are not left without a source of work,” said the baker leader.
Some of the bakery centers that adopted the measure, in addition to the one mentioned in Merlo, are those of Marcos Paz, Las Heras, Moreno, General Rodríguez, San Miguel, José C. Paz, Malvinas Argentinas, Quilmes, Florencio Varela, San Pedro, Lobos and Navarro, among others.
