Government extends the deadline for social works to request reimbursements for expensive treatments
Through Resolution 665/2024 of the Superintendency of Health Services, published this Friday in eIn the Official Gazette, the deadline for submitting applications for financial support through the Single Reimbursement System for Disease Management (SURGE) was modified..
It should be remembered that SURGE allows social works to request reimbursements for low-incidence, high-cost benefits or prolonged treatment and the initial deadline for submitting applications was 12 months starting in April 2023.
Modification of the deadline
- The resolution extends the term to 18 months.
In accordance with the rule, due to delays in the implementation of the platform, it was decided to extend the deadline for submitting applications from 12 to 18 months to guarantee better coverage and redistribution of resources.
