The main centers of bakers of the province of Buenos Aires increased the price of a kilo of bread starting this Monday, May 27, to $2,400. The increase was also replicated in all the baked products they sell, as a consequence of the important increases in costs suffered by the baking industry.

A month ago, the Government announced the end of the Wheat Stabilization Fund, which had the purpose of guarantee a reference value in the internal bread market. Since then, and with the strong crisis that the baking sector is going through due to the drop in sales, bakers in the Province of Buenos Aires announced that there will be a new increase in the price per kilo.

“Today, we met representatives of numerous bakery centers in Greater Buenos Aires, with the CIPAN economic team, to analyze the new costs of our products, due to the constant increases that we have been suffering in terms of rates. of public services, raw materials, rents, joint payments and all increases that are public knowledge,” he explained.
