AFIP confirmed changes in PAIS Tax and the check tax

The extension of the deadline is due to the AFIP’s objective of facilitating taxpayer compliance.

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP)through General Resolution 5513 published in Official bulletin, “exceptionally” extended to May 31 the deadline for the payment of the receipts of the Tax on Credits and Debits in Bank Accounts, the amount corresponding to the own tax accrued and the COUNTRY TAX that originally expired yesterday, May 27.

The extension of the deadline is due to the AFIP’s objective of facilitating the compliance with the obligations of taxpayers and/or responsible parties.

AFIP: how is the new expiration schedule?

  • Taxes on credits and debits

The obligation to pay the sums received as Tax on Credits and Debits in Bank and Other Operational Accounts and/or the amount corresponding to the own tax accrued, for the period between May 16 and May 22, both dates inclusive, whose expiration was on May 27may be fulfilled until May 31, inclusive.

The obligation to pay the tax receipts for an Inclusive and Solidarity Argentina (COUNTRY) made between May 16 and 22, both dates inclusive, whose expiration date was May 27.may be fulfilled until May 31, inclusive.

Official: AFIP increased the amount from which banks and virtual wallets must report the movements of their clients

The Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP)led by Florencia Misrahi, updated the amounts from which financial institutions and electronic or digital management platforms must report all transactionsbalances and consumption of the accounts they manage.

The information was made official this Monday through General Resolution 5512/2024.

How were the new amounts for banks set by AFIP?

“This organization is dedicated to simplifying processes for the benefit of taxpayers, through the implementation of mechanisms aimed at improving their information regimes,” the statement says. And it indicates that, in pursuit of this objective, modified General Resolution 4298/2024. Thus, the new amounts are the following:

  • In the case of credits, cash withdrawals and monthly balances of all accounts, the minimum amount was raised from $200,000 to $700,000.
  • In the case of consumption with debit cards of the holder and additional ones, it rose from $120,000 to $400,000.-
