AFIP launches new extension for the Income and Personal Assets tax

The new expirations depend on the termination of the Unique Tax Identification Code (CUIT) of the taxpayer or responsible party.

Through General Resolution 5516/2024 of the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), published this Friday in the Official Gazette, the deadlines for the presentation of sworn declarations and payment of income taxes and on personal assets corresponding to the 2023 fiscal period.

Who does it apply to?

  • Human persons and undivided successions included in General Resolutions No. 975 and 2,151, their respective modifications and supplements.
  • Subjects covered by General Resolution No. 4,468, its amendment and its complements (schedular tax).

What are the new expirations?

The new maturities depend on the termination of the Single Tax identification (CUIT) of the taxpayer or responsible party.

Maturity table for both Earnings and Personal Assets

  • CUIT 0, 1, 2 and 3 termination: Deadline: August 26, 2024 (inclusive)
  • CUIT 4, 5 and 6 completion: Deadline: August 27, 2024 (inclusive)
  • CUIT 7, 8 and 9 completion: Deadline: August 28, 2024 (inclusive)

Why are deadlines extended?

As mentioned in the official text, this measure is due to the fact that the bill that modifies income and personal property taxes is still being processed in the National Congress.
