Financial coach Dani Parthum: “Women can do finances. Get your hands on the money”

Pension gap, part-time work trap, insurance madness – talking about money is uncomfortable, but absolutely necessary, especially for women who want to become more financially independent. “Get your money,” says financial expert Dani Parthum on “Die Boss”.

In a special episode of the podcast “Die Boss” on the topic of ”Women and Finance”, financial expert Dani Parthum answers questions in conversation with starEditor Laura Csapó answers all questions about money. She gives answers that you might not necessarily want to hear, but that women in particular absolutely need to hear.

“I treated my money as a side issue for decades” – “a mistake,” says Dani Parthum. The trained journalist and economist has been working as a financial coach under the “Geldfrau” brand since 2017 and has made women’s financial independence a matter close to her heart.

She gives practical tips for the first small steps that everyone can take to become more familiar with their own finances. She says which insurance policies are essential and which are nonsense, and whether a joint account with your partner is a good idea. “Money is something that is negotiated,” says Dani Parthum.

Pension provision: “I want to live carefree”

In the podcast, Dani Parthum talks about the pension gap and what kind of retirement provision still makes sense today. This also includes the uncomfortable truth: “Most of us will have to make sacrifices in old age.” And: “If we want to build up assets for old age, we won’t get anywhere with small amounts.” The financial expert explains how much money you should really put aside each month depending on your age. These are figures that most people will probably swallow hard. But for Dani Parthum it is clear: “Retirement provision is a priority for me. I want to live a carefree life.”
