At first it didn’t look like a major breakthrough, but rather like a major setback: At its in-house developer conference, the computer company Apple presented the special features it plans to incorporate into its new generations of devices starting in the fall. According to this, the operating system for iPhone, iPad and Mac will in future be equipped with Apple Intelligence, the Apple Group’s AI variant. This will be used to control several core applications that will increasingly enable the devices to think for themselves:
