The Anti-Corruption Office extends the deadline to submit sworn statements to AFIP for public officials

Through a Resolution, the calendar for the regime that requires public officials to present a sworn declaration at the beginning and end of their function was modified.

Through Resolution 7/2024 of the Anti-Corruption Office, the schedule for the presentation of the Comprehensive Asset Affidavits of Ethics in the Exercise of Public Function. The rule was published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette.

It is worth mentioning that this regime is key, since the Regime of Comprehensive Asset Sworn Declarations requires public officials to submit an affidavit at the beginning and end of their duties, as well as annual updates. It also provides that public sworn statements must be the same as those presented to the Federal Public Revenue Administration (AFIP), except for a reserved annex.

What is modified in the Resolution?

The aforementioned Resolution modifies the deadline for the presentation of the Comprehensive Asset Affidavits (DJPI) corresponding to the year 2023 and sets a new one: September 30, 2024. The measure affects all public officials.

According to the official text, the rule is modified to give public officials more time to complete the DJPI, since the AFIP has extended the deadline for the presentation of sworn income and personal property tax returns until August 28, 2024, as reported Ambit.

What should I do if I am a public official required to submit the DJPI?
