Since the beginning of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, there have been a number of unusual deaths in Moscow, including falls from windows. This time, a prominent economist died.

In Moscow, the prominent Russian economist Valentina Bondarenko died after falling out of a window. The 82-year-old well-known economist, who headed the International Nikolai Kontratiev Fund, tragically fell out of the window of her apartment, media in Moscow reported. The internationally renowned economic researcher suffered from a chronic illness, but the reasons for her fall from the window were not clear, the newspaper continued. She was also one of the leading experts at the Economic Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Russian media praised the scientist’s years of work. Bondarenko had made a name for herself primarily through long-term forecasts of the country’s economic development.

Falls from windows and other unusual deaths of civil servants and top managers in Russia always cause a stir because in most cases the men and women were ripped from their lives.
