Banco Nación launches loans to buy household appliances, with a rate of 43% and a term of 5 years

The financing is provided within the framework of the Government’s “Energy Efficiency and Reconversion Program.” The agreement also includes the purchase of gas appliances, materials and equipment to improve the building envelope.

The The Ministry of Energy and Banco Nación signed an agreement to promote energy efficiency in homes and businesses. It includes power lines credit at preferential rates and the possibility of financing in Up to 24 interest-free installments the purchase of selected products in the BNA Store.

The agreement was reached within the framework of the “Energy Efficiency and Conversion Program”designed by the National Government to reduce energy consumption in buildings and promote the acquisition of efficient technology, ranging from household appliances to photovoltaic panels and solar water heaters.

The lines of credit available from this partnership are as follows:

  • For homes: credits for the purchase of electrical appliances, gas appliances, materials and equipment that allow improving the envelope, with a maximum amount of up to $25 million and a Repayment period of up to 5 years with a fixed rate of 43%.
  • For companies (SMEs and industries): credits with a term of up to 10 years and Unlimited amount for equipment and materials that help reduce losses. Fixed 27% LIP rate for the 1st year and then BADLAR.

All products included in the program will be identified by a special logo which facilitates their recognition. Through these agreements, the national government seeks to offer preferential financing conditions for the replacement of equipment, materials and appliances, as well as for the adaptation of buildings to more efficient standards. Future agreements will also include payment plans, rate bonuses and specific conditions adapted to the needs of each segment.

The signing of this agreement was celebrated at an event at Banco Nación, which was attended by the president of said entity, Daniel Tillard and the Undersecretary of Transition and Energy Planning of the Ministry of Energy, Mariela Beljanskyas well as businessmen and representatives of sector chambers.

The secretariat headed by Eduardo Chirillo said that this “marks the beginning of a series of collaborations with financial entities that seek to support the energy conversion and the most efficient use of energy in our country.” “The Government seeks, thus, make gas and electricity consumption more efficient to relieve the national energy system and mitigate the impacts on both production costs and household and business expenses,” they added.
