The Pampa del Infierno solar park in Chaco has obtained commercial approval

This is MSU Green Energy’s second solar park in Chaco, with an installed capacity of 130 MW to supply more than 90,000 homes.

The solar park Pampas of Hell Chaco obtained commercial approval to begin selling clean energy.

Pampa of Hell, the MATER’s largest solar park (Renewable Energy Term Market), has an installed capacity of 130 MW that will supply more than 90 thousand homes and prevent the emission of 147,600 tons of carbon dioxide per year.

The park is the second of MSU Green Energy and was built in nine months, a record time for the usual development of a solar park in our country. Throughout its construction time, it generated direct local employment for more than 400 people, strengthening the development of northern Argentina.

“Having more clean energy allows us to continue moving forward quickly towards an efficient energy transition. At MSU we have more than 600MW of solar energy under construction and operation and we aim to reach 1GW in the next three years,” he stressed. MSU Green Energy leads the solar energy sector with investments of more than US$650 million to generate 665 MW in green energy in 11 solar parks. According to the company, with the new projects in different parts of the country they seek to strengthen the energy infrastructure and contribute to the transition towards more sustainable energy sources.

The company is aligned with the objectives and goals set out in the national law 27.191 on Renewable Energies, reaching 18% coverage in 2023 and aiming for 20% in 2025 of the national matrix.

The Group’s other energy unit, MSU Energy For energy generation, it has a total installed capacity of 1.6 GW through its seven plants, which include four combined cycle plants, and has invested US$1.16 billion in the last six years.
