The airline, founded in 2022, currently operates in 16 countries, covering 23 destinations. According to the company itself, its goal is to “democratize air travel, eliminating the economic barriers that have traditionally limited people’s mobility.”
At the moment the airline connects Santo Domingo with a variety of cities in the Caribbean, Central America and South Americaincluding popular destinations such as Mexico City, Lima, Bogota, Buenos Aires, Quito and Sao Paulo. However, it plans to further expand its network of destinations, adding Miami and New York to your list of direct routes.
This project was announced after the “open skies” agreement signed between the Dominican Republic and the US government, which allowed Dominican airlines to operate without restrictions in US territory.

Arajet plans to begin operations in the United States by 2025, with New York and Miami as first destinations. Due to its competitive prices, a ticket to North America could cost up to half. This would mark a strong presence in the market of trips between South America and the United States.
However, the airline seeks to connect 17 destinations in the United States by 2030 and position the company as a key player in the low-cost airline market.
