What are the requirements to apply for the Polish Working Holiday Visa?

- Have between eighteen (18) and thirty (30) years of age.
- Do not travel accompanied by dependents (This means that you cannot travel with dependent children. You can travel with siblings or your partner, but each person applies for their visa individually.)
- Be holders of a Valid ordinary passport, issued no more than ten (10) years prior to the submission of the application for the visawhich has at least two (2) blank pages and whose validity extends for at least ninety (90) days after the end of the intended stay period.
- Have a return ticket or sufficient funds to acquire it.
- Have sufficient funds to support themselves in Poland.
- No criminal record.
- Comply with the medical requirements established by Polish legislation.
- Have a medical and hospitalization insurance comprehensive in accordance with Polish legislation
- Not having previously participated in the Program for Poland (they may have obtained the Working Holiday from another country)
- Have as main objective vacation in Poland for a maximum period of one (1) year.
- Pay all costs and expenses of granting the visa.
How to apply for the Working Holiday Visa Poland
First, you must go to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland and follow these steps:
- Select the shift for National visas (long stay)since there is no specific one for a Working Holiday visa.
- Once on the Ministry’s website, you must select the letter “A” and then choose “Argentina”, “Buenos Aires”.
- Once Buenos Aires is chosen, a series of options will be displayed on the left of the screen and you must choose “Wiza Krajowa – Zarejestrui formularz” (National Visa – Registration Form).
- Next step, a form will appear in which you only have to complete the appointment date and click “next” to access the application form. Then send the form and the confirmed appointment will appear with the date and a reference number. The page also gives the possibility of printing it, because it is requested on the day of the appointment.
Below is the documentation that must be presented on the day of your appointment at the Polish Embassy once your appointment is confirmed by email.
- A- Application Form. The application form that was completed to be delivered to the consular authorities.
- B- Photographs. 2 identical photos, size 3.5 x 4.5 cm, no more than 6 months old, with a clear, homogeneous background and in high definition. The face must occupy no less than 70-80% of the photo size. Head uncovered. No sunglasses. Eyes open, looking forward. Mouth closed.
- C- Valid Argentine passport. The Embassy requirements state: passport issued less than 10 years ago, the validity of the passport must be greater (at least 3 months) than the validity of the requested visa.
- D- Document proving the purpose of the tripThis requirement is called by that name, it is a motivation letter in which the main reason for the trip is explained. State that the main objective is to do tourism and that the only thing that will be worked is to cover the travel expenses.
- E- Hotel reservation or other accommodation titleIf you book a hostel, make sure you stay for at least 15 days. And if you have someone who can accommodate you, you can probably present a letter of invitation.
- F – Ticket reservation: round tripThe requirement says the following: reservation of a round-trip plane ticket. It does not clarify anything else, so you must have a reservation for both tickets or, in the event that you do not have the return ticket, you can check if you can present funds.
- G – Medical Insurance (Travel Insurance)The embassy website explains the following: sufficient financial means to cover the costs of stay and/or accommodation (minimum of 75 PLN (USD 19.61) per day and in case of stays of up to 4 days, 300 PLN (USD 78.45) for the entire duration of the stay). So, taking into account the cost of the day, to cover a one-year stay in the country a total of 27,000 PLN (USD 7,060.07) would be needed.
- H – Proof of criminal record. Not having a criminal record. To prove this, you must present an updated Criminal Record certificate, issued by the National Registry of Recidivism and Criminal Statistics. This procedure can be done online, and depending on how urgently you need to process it, you can choose from the available options.
- I – Consular Fee. The consular fee is USD 150, payable in US dollars in cash, at the time of submitting the visa application. The fee will not be refunded if the visa is denied.
