Carsten Spohr has finally burst his collar. Even before the chaos on Thursday, October 3rd, he was settling accounts with one of the largest airports (also a Lufthansa hub). Munich is “currently the worst airport in Europe”. This is reported by “Spiegel”.
And according to the report, pilots are also at their wits’ end when it comes to Bavaria’s would-be model airport. A pilot from the Lufthansa subsidiary Cityline is said to have said that he had tears of joy in his eyes when he landed in Munich and both stairs and ground power arrived at the plane at the same time. Delays and missing staff are the order of the day in Munich. RTL employees report similar experiences at MUC Airport.
On the holiday, videos made the rounds on social networks. Travelers reported kilometer-long queues in front of security checks at Munich Airport. The portal “t-online” quotes a passenger: “The queue goes out of the terminal and turns twice around the forecourt and goes along the entire terminal! I have never experienced anything like that in Beijing.” “The waiting time at security is currently 2.5 hours,” another traveler reported on Facebook.
