In fiction, on November 6, 1983, Will Byers disappeared in the town of Hawkins, Indiana. Long after the community stopped searching for him, his friends continued the search…and discovered a mysterious girl known only by a number: Eleven. Alone, persecuted and extremely powerful, Eleven would stop at nothing to help them find their friend.
Since its premiere in July 2016, Stranger Things, created by the Duffer brothersquickly became one of Netflix’s most popular series: season 4 has accumulated more than 140.7 million views globally. With each installment, this production full of 80s nostalgia revives interest in American icons of that decade, such as home-style waffles and New Coke.
With the premiere of the most recent episodes, the series brought the song “Running Up That Hill” back into fashion, by Kate Bushwhich flooded playlists on Spotify and ranked among the top ten songs on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time in its 38-year history. New details for season five of Stranger Things
Season 5 was announced as the final season of Stranger Things, hand in hand with other projects that would be part of this universe, such as the play Stranger Things: The First Shadow live in London’s West End, as well as an animated spinoff yet no title.
The fifth and final season of Stranger Things arrives on Netflix in 2025.
