Fuel prices are rising, petrol and diesel have become more expensive again. It will be more expensive, especially for diesel tankers. However, the ADAC has a recommendation for drivers.
Fuel prices in Germany have increased slightly again compared to the previous week. As the ADAC in Munich announced on Wednesday, both types of fuel were 1.3 cents above the previous week’s level. A liter of E10 petrol costs 1,668 euros on average nationwide. 1.608 euros per liter were due for diesel.
Fuel prices: ADAC considers fuel prices to be “appropriate”
The automobile club described the price of gasoline as “appropriate” despite the increase in price. However, the difference to diesel was once again only six cents, even though diesel is taxed around 20 cents less. According to ADAC, the small price difference is related to the increased demand for heating oil. Diesel is almost the same product as heating oil. If the demand for it increases in winter, drivers also notice it.
The ADAC recommends filling up in the evening. Then the prices are “basically a lot cheaper than in the morning”.
