The subsidiary TMA Automation, which was taken over by the Schwertberger Engel Group in 2022, has begun construction of office and production buildings in the immediate vicinity of the airport in the Polish port city. The company, which specializes in injection molding processes, wants to grow: TMA’s workforce is to be doubled, according to a press release.

Produced mainly for the market in Poland and Eastern Europe. TMA develops specific automation solutions for its customers. The location is strategically favorable, there are many training centers and technical universities nearby, and the company wants to recruit workers from there.
Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025
“This investment clearly shows our commitment to the region and our goal to drive innovation in automation,” says Stefan Engleder, Managing Director of the Engel Group. The new building in Gdansk, which is scheduled to be completed by autumn 2025, is a strong symbol of the successful partnership between Engel and TMA.
