Santa Fe: the PJ called its party congress

The PJ commanders decided to call the party congress for December 28 to, among other things, define the policy of electoral alliances for the legislative elections of 2025 and the Constituent Conventiondenouncing that “Pullaro’s model exposed an absolute contempt for working people.”

In a statement, the Santa Fe Justicialism anticipated that it will present a list of Constituent Conventionals “that it be representative of the provincial model that we Peronists and allies defend, where the sum of the rights of the worker is the axis.”

At the same time, Peronism accused Governor Pullaro of “seeking to perpetuate himself in power.”

“We see with amazement how the governor, in addition to having rushed and pressured the Legislative Branch to enable the debate for his re-election, has expressed his intention to be a candidate for a conventional constituent,” they denounced.

At the same time, he assures: ““It is an unprecedented event that could undoubtedly condition democracy in a process where the most important law for everyone, the constitution, is discussed.”

Along these lines, the document maintains: “We have the duty to put a stop to the institutional weakness that Unidos para Cambiar Santa Fe established as a government method and we will do so with the best electoral proposal that will also consider the situation of the most vulnerable, women. “, the children and adolescents, the retirees, people with disabilities that the Pullaro government (very much in tune with Milei) is leaving helpless.”

Sanctions

Another important point in the call for Santa Fe Peronism is whether it will apply penalties from the legislators who respond to the former governor. Omar Perottiwho, for the most part, supported the ruling party’s project to reform the Constitution.

The text explains that “having been elected to represent Peronism and occupying a seat that citizens have entrusted to the Justicialist Party, they voted contrary to the party mandate, where they were asked not to positively support the project of need for constitutional reform presented by Pullaro.”

“We have been clear about the organic position regarding this reform that only seeks to fit politics and our main opponents, it was promoted with its back to the people and in front of personal or sectoral benefits. For this reason, the Court of “Party discipline will act in accordance with the law in the face of this corresponding situation,” concludes the statement.

Specifically, it refers to Celia Arena, Marcos Corach and Sonia Martorano, the three provincial deputies who respond to Perotti and who voted in favor of the official text, contrary to the official position of the PJ.

Those votes were key to unlocking a tense debate, where the ruling party fought vote by vote.
