The Government of Javier Milei takes the last steps to close Desarrollo del Capital Humano Ferroviario SA (DECAHF), a company with majority state participation that emerged after the absorption of Ferrocarriles Argentinos and Trenes Argentinos Capital Humano, one of the four subsidiaries of the national railway system . This measure comes after the merger carried out at the end of September, which had integrated these entities into a single body.
In this framework, through Resolution 58/2024 published this Tuesday in the Official Gazette, the “immediate cessation of activities” was ordered along with the call of the Extraordinary General Assembly in order to discuss the beginning of the liquidation process of said society. Within the same resolution it is also mentioned that, when the public emergency in railway matters was declared, it was considered to direct the destination of public funds towards the objective of “maximizing investments and resources used” after reviewing the different companies in the railway sector that depended on the State.
