With the OÖG you are always right!

The nine schools of the OÖG offer everything from the initial orientation in the nine-month career search internship to extensive training opportunities in the Health and social professions a wide spectrum: including the one-year training as a nursing assistant, the two-year training as a nursing assistant or the training in specialist social care with a focus on working with the elderly, as well as those for medical assistant professions such as surgical technical assistance – some even part-time or part-time. At five OÖG school locations (Freistadt, Gmunden, Kirchdorf, Schärding, Steyr) young people can do so directly after compulsory school from the age of 15 as care starters get in. This training model can be completed after three years and offers a wide range of career opportunities in the nursing sector. As a further option for young people interested in nursing, the OÖG schools cooperate, for example, with the School for Business and Nursing Professions of the Sisters Oblatinnen Linz and the HLW Bad Ischl. In the “Higher School of Nursing and Social Care (HLPS)” school branches, students can graduate as nursing assistants at the same time as their Matura and complete the nursing teaching units directly at the OÖG schools for health and nursing.

In addition, at 13 OÖG locations throughout Upper Austria, exciting apprenticeships in various areas await young people who want a crisis-proof and meaningful job. Top career opportunities included! Whether you are a cook, electrical engineer, mechatronics engineer, office clerk, IT system technician, pharmaceutical-commercial assistant, cleaning technician or one of the many other apprenticeships on offer: OÖG fulfills many career aspirations. In the regional clinics, the Kepler University Hospital (KUK) and in the Upper Austria. Everyone can find the right apprenticeship at the state nursing and care centers (LPBZ).
