It should be remembered that the PAIS Tax had a different rate depending on the type of operation: For digital services, such as Netflix, 8% was applied, while in the case of dollar savings and card purchases, the percentage reached 30%.

Although the elimination of the tax will bring relief, other taxes will continue to apply. Among them, the VAT of 21%, the Income Tax of 30%, and the additional Gross Income Tax, close to 2%.

As for specific prices, Netflix’s basic plan, which currently costs $6,921, will be reduced to $5,173 after the elimination of the PAIS Tax.
